Sink, swim or float: Regent’s fifth annual Regatta draws fierce competition
Every year, the Regent community comes together to behold a battle of epic proportions in the name of honor, glory and free food. This battle is known as the Regent Regatta, a homemade boat race held in the pond outside the Commons. Those who make it under the bridge first receive a $100 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory, and everyone involved has the rare opportunity to immerse themselves the Regent pond. Additionally, those with the most creative boat, best engineering, and honorable spirit are awarded small prizes for their efforts.
This years group featured some intense competitors, all of whom refused to quit. With a number of creative ideas and fun attitudes, I think we can all agree that this year’s Regatta was once again a success.
