How to pop in an interview…Inside and out!

Interviews! Adulthood! Seemingly intimidating, but totally conquerable.

I had a once-in-a-lifetime interview for an amazing internship in one of my favorite cities in the world. My next blog post will reveal the results of said internship interview, but this post will focus on what I wore.

Thanks to Skype, I was able to do my interview in the comfort of my university library, exactly 364 miles away from where my interviewers were (according to Google Maps). I took advantage of the fact that my interviewers could not see my feet, so naturally I wore jelly sandals from Kohl’s – the kind of jelly sandals that can be found in any three year old girl’s shoe collection. My blouse was simple and understated, yet elegant with jewel details, and I wore a basic black pencil skirt and blazer.

A surefire way to slay a job interview is to wear professional gear that makes you feel like you can take on the world. In this outfit, I definitely felt “on fleek,” as the kids say.
