Moka’s New Biscoff Latte: A Review

This week, Moka introduced a new drink: the Biscoff Latte. This drink includes ingredients that sounded like it would make for an amazing cup of joe: steaming milk, espresso, cinnamon, and biscoff syrup. If anyone is a fan of the Biscoff cookies like myself, this surely sounded like a win. For those who may not know what a Biscoff cookie is, it is a decadent, buttery treat most famously known by Lotus. After one of my closest friends and I each had a cup in hand the taste test began.

We were both pleasantly surprised with the first sip. The taste of cinnamon was the first thing I noticed, but it was not overpowering. Right after the cinnamon flavor came the subtle notes of the the biscoff syrup which had a nice, smooth buttery texture to it. A fair warning though to all those who are extreme coffee lovers and late-night studiers: this is not a strong roast and is not necessarily for those who want the full blast of caffeine all at once. However, for those who just want a nice warm drink on a cold day this is a perfect fit. While the Frozen Carmel Latte is still my favorite drink from Moka, this was a good cup of coffee that I found to be quite enjoyable and would purchase again.

Rating: 4/5 stars.
