“I think for me it was a weird thing: So my mom and I were at the dentist’s office, we were waiting for my sister to get her teeth cleaned, and there was this guy who was sitting next to me; we were talking and he was asking me random questions.
We ended up talking about school. I used to take accounting in high school and always ended up being second best and so that’s the mindset I always had: that I would always be second best in accounting and at the end of the year I wouldn’t be able to be on top.
I think then he just asked me “Why don’t you think you could ever be the best?” That was something that stayed with me. It was just like, yeah, why don’t I think I could be the best? I don’t even remember how I responded back.”
