Las Vegas shooting results in three deaths

Over this past weekend, a couple engaged in a shooting rampage at a Las Vegas strip mall, resulting in the death of three victims in addition to themselves.

According to reports by CNN and The Huffington Post, the couple first walked into a restaurant at the strip mall where they shot two police officers who were having lunch. CNN reported that the couple laid a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag and a swastika over the dead bodies of the police officers.

The couple then proceeded across the street to a Walmart, where the couple gunned down a third victim, just inside the front door.  The man is said to have been “yelling bad words” according to Pauline Pacheco, a customer shopping when the incident occurred. The couple then exchanged shots with police officers.  The female shooter, Amanda Miller, then shot her husband before turning the gun on herself. One of the shooters is also reported to have shouted, “This is a revolution!”

In another report by the Huffington Post, Cliven Bundy’s son told the AP that the couple was asked to leave a protest which took place at the Cliven Bundy ranch earlier this year. “Ammon Bundy says that while details are still sketchy, the Millers’ conduct was the problem. He calls the couple ‘very radical’ and says they didn’t ‘align themselves’ with the protest’s main issues. They were told to leave by members of a militia that also had come to the ranch in support of Bundy,” reports the Post.
