Seasons of Change

We have all been there. When life is changing so fast we can’t catch our breath. When we have to say goodbye before our hearts are ready. When we find friendships in the most unexpected of ways. When our hard work pays off. When we suffered the consequences of our mistakes. When we find peace in the hustle of the day.

Life is consistently changing. Many times, we do not know or understand why things change in the way they do. Sometimes it is a good change, sometimes, in our eyes, it is a bad change. These changes many times bring tears, of joy, of sorrow, of fear.

When we find ourselves in times of great sorrow, we can take comfort in knowing that God’s timing is perfect, and his knowledge far surpasses our own. We know that although it hurts in the moment, everything has a time and a season.

When we find ourselves in a season overwhelmed with happiness and joy, we can find contentment in knowing that God’s timing is perfect, and his knowledge far surpasses our own. We know to give praise and thanks to God for not only the big things but also the little things. We praise Him for the everyday blessings, for everything has a time and a season.

When we find ourselves adjusting to a new or stressful situation, we can still find peace and calm knowing that God’s timing is perfect, and his knowledge far surpasses our own. We know that although things may seem unclear right now, He knows what is next for us in His perfect plan, for everything has a time and a season.

Fear will fade, emotions will shift, and situations will change; however, the Lord remains the same. We can have peace in fact that He is our constant in the ever changing seasons of this world.

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.”

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 (NIV)
